Modern Material is an indie bRand inspired by the mixture of rock & roll and trends in fashion. This blog features emerging talent in the music scene and will highlight the music and style that will one day make them bona fide rock stars.

Modern Material was founded by 29 year old designer, Annie Weihrauch, as a creative outlet. With over 5 years of professional retail product design experience, Annie has launched her own line which is predominately driven by the force of rock & roll. With over 150 concerts attended, and a vast knowledge of indie bands and musicians, it seemed like a great idea to create a blog about music & style on Modern Material, making it an internet destination to check out each week.

Each week Modern Material would like to feature a new song by an up and coming artist. A brief review and steaming song or playlist will be included. Upon an artists participation, an interview focused on music and style will be featured, along with available tour dates and album releases. Links to their websites and myspace page will be provided. Modern Material encourages reciprocal links to www.modern-material.com so fans can read their feature and explore indie fashion.

Once a musician's blog is featured, we hope to provide updates as fequently as possible and will keep them listed under music supporters.
